You need a video finished. An announcement, a class or club update, a clip about what you do, a walkthrough of something on your screen - and it has to be the right shape for where it is going, and it has to be done. Clipchamp is already there: on your Windows computer, or in your browser, or inside the account your work or school already pays for. Then you open it, and there is a timeline, a stack of tabs, a panel that keeps changing, and no obvious first move. This guide takes you from raw clips to a posted video, in order, without assuming you have edited anything before. You will learn the habit that prevents the most demoralizing failure in this editor: building toward where the video is going, so you are never stopped at the finish line by a shape you cannot change, an asset your plan does not cover, or a project you cannot find. Clipchamp does not put a watermark on your video - but it will refuse to export one, and knowing the difference changes how you work. You will set your projects up so they do not go missing, bring footage in and keep it linked, cut a rough version and tighten it, control speed and framing, add text people can actually read with the sound off, build a soundtrack of music and voice, generate captions and correct them, record your screen and your camera, and export and share the finished file - then produce a second shape from the same project without starting over. Clipchamp comes in two versions, one for a personal account and one for a work or school account, and they are not the same editor. Features, import sources, and sharing destinations differ, and most guides ignore this entirely. This one tells you which version each step applies to, every time it matters, so nothing you read here turns out to be for somebody else's screen. No prior editing experience assumed. No software to buy. Just the editor you already have, and a finished video at the end of it.
