Lay It Out in Affinity
A Beginner's Guide to Page Design in the Layout Studio, from First Flyer to a Print-Ready Book
$12.99
You want to design real pages in Affinity: a flyer, a short booklet, and eventually the interior of a paperback you plan to publish yourself. This book takes that project through all three stages, in order.
You start with a single-page flyer, learning the Layout Studio's document setup, its two text tools, and how a placed image behaves inside a picture frame. From there you build a short multi-page booklet: pages and spreads, master pages, linked text frames that flow from one to the next, paragraph and character styles, automatic page numbers, and a table of contents you refresh on command.
Then you scale up. You move a full manuscript into the Layout Studio, build a back-of-book index, and add identification-style notes beside the running text. The second half turns to what a paperback interior has to satisfy before Amazon KDP will accept it: trim size, margins that change with page count, and bleed that applies to the whole file or not at all. You export a print-ready PDF without the crop marks a submission guideline forbids, and you learn, briefly and honestly, what Affinity's EPUB export offers and where its limits are.
Every setting, panel and menu name comes from Affinity's own current documentation. You finish with a correctly built paperback interior and a routine you can repeat on the next one.
