A UV printer will put a full-color image on acrylic, wood, metal, glass, or a phone case in a single pass, cured and touchable the moment it leaves the bed. It will also put that same image on a surface it does not bond to, and you will not find out until a customer scratches it off with a thumbnail. UV printing is a materials problem wearing a printing problem's clothes. The machine is the easy part. What decides whether the work survives is surface preparation, the layer stack underneath the color, and whether anyone tested adhesion before the job went out. This book covers both paths — flatbed printing directly onto objects, and UV DTF transfers that wrap onto curved and textured surfaces the bed cannot reach — and is explicit about which one each job wants. You will learn which substrates take ink and which need promoter every time, how the RIP builds white underbase and varnish, how to print on black without the color going muddy, how to apply a transfer without trapping bubbles, and how to test scratch, sun, and dishwasher durability before selling anything. Test the surface first. Then print.
